New Moon

Yes, I went and saw this movie. My sisters were going to go and see this movie and invited me to come along as well. Was I incredibly excited about seeing this movie, it didn't matter, but I was going to take the opportunity to go and do something with my sisters since I don't see them often and definitely don't go and hang out with them.

So Friday me and the kids left our house after lunch to go and meet Charles at his work. He was going to take the kids to an ASU basketball game and watch them for the evening while I went to the movies. After dropping the kids off I headed over to the Tempe Marketplace, that place is huge, I had never been there before. We were going to watch New Moon in the Cine Capri which I had also never been to before. I meant to take pictures of us while we were there but we were kind of all running around and taking turns waiting in line so it didn't really work out. The movie was fine, I had to laugh at people during the movie because of their reactions at certain points. After the movie we stopped and got Cold Stone and then chatted in the parking lot for a while. I am glad that I got to go and do something with my sisters, and hey, I am going to see them this week as well. Two weeks in a row, that is something new:)

Congratulations!

I meant to do this a while ago but that is how I am a lot, good intentions and all but no follow through. Anyway, my sister had a baby boy a few weeks ago. He is such a tiny little thing, like holding a bag of marshmellows wrapped in a blanket. Now Carina is even more excited for our baby boy to come. The weekend after my sister had the baby I took her kids to come and stay with us. Give her a break and some alone time with the new baby. It was fun and we kept busy. The amazing thing is that with three extra kids we made it to church on time. I don't know how that happened because we usually can't get to church on time with just our two (mostly my fault).

Halloween

Usually for Halloween we always go to my in-laws house, eat chili and cornbread, and then we all go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Charles and I have been doing this as long as we have been married, probably before that as well. For the second year in a row my in-laws were out of town for Halloween so we decided to stay in our own neighborhood this year.

There is a community church in our neighborhood that is really good about sponsoring community events and Halloween was no exception. For Halloween this church had a party at the park with hot dogs, chips, drinks, and popcorn. They also had 3 bouncy things for the kids to play in and lots of little carnival type games plus a little train. After eating and playing all the cars were set up in the parking lot for a trunk-or-treat. I tell you this is a very easy way to go trick-or-treating. It was great and we were done and ready to go home by 8 I think. Again lots and lots of candy.
Ethan as Mickey Mouse. His favorite cartoon is "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" so when we had the chance to have him wear this costume he was all for it.
Carina as a witch and her friend Sarah.
Sarah, Carina, Ethan, and me riding the train that they had going around. I had to go with Ethan instead of just Carina and Sarah because I think he was still a little traumatized from the last time he went on a little train. Even though I saw other adults riding the train and even sitting in the back I think I was a little to heavy for that spot because it kept scraping the asphalt when we would go over little bumps.

Ward Halloween Party

My little witch and Spiderman.
My little Spiderman trick or treating. Boy did he love getting all that candy. He was even good about saying "trick or treat" and "thank you" even though it was very quiet. Everyone commented on how big his muscles were and how he must work out:)
Carina trick or treating. She didn't want to dress up this year but I told her if she didn't dress up she couldn't go trick or treating. She caved.
Ethan and Charles passing out candy. I took Ethan around to get candy while Charles passed out our candy. The bounce house that the kids could play in.
The little train they had for the kids to ride. I think we traumatized our poor boy on that thing. He went all by himself and by the time they came back around he was crying.
The Saturday before Halloween our Ward had a Halloween party. They did this last year too and I thought it was a lot of fun. They didn't dissapoint this year either. First we had chili and cornbread. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find something to eat since most people make chili with ground beef but some wonderful people made chicken chili--yea, something for me to eat. We all tried a couple of different kinds I think and everyone liked theirs. The cornbread was good too. I really like that combination of cornbread and chili.
After dinner we had a trick or treat for the kids. The house that is was at has a very nice big backyard with a circular walkway around the grass so everyone sets up their chairs and blankets around the outside to pass out candy. Boy, did everyone pass out candy. Those two kids came home with more candy than we have ever had in our house. After trick or treating they had a bounce house for the kids to play in, a cake walk, a train to ride, a playground in the backyard, and various other games to do. They had a lot of fun and it was great to see everyone's costumes. I am so glad our Ward does this!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to my Sister-in-Law and her husband. After a very difficult pregnancy and much bed rest, they were able to welcome identical twin boys on Friday. We are so happy and excited for them.

It's a...

BOY!!!
Everything looks great and just like it should. The baby weighs what it is supposed to at this point even though I am gaining weight like I am going into hibernation for the winter. Heart looks good, spine looks good, etc. So happy that everything is well. Carina is getting her wish of moving rooms, Ethan will have a little brother to play with, and Charles will have another boy to play with and carry on the family name.

Tomorrow is our "big" ultrasound appointment to find out what the sex of the baby is. I have been a bit nervous and anxious about this appointment and have been waiting for it. Not so much to find out the sex, but more to find out if the baby is okay. I always fear the worst between each appointment and am relieved when I am finally able to go. I have had an unsettling feeling the past couple of weeks so that is why I am anxious to see if everything is in fact okay or not. If everything is okay and we do get to find out the sex, I will post it. Till tomorrow.
